Hooking or Punching 2 – Sided, with Yarn
 
Kit Fees: $ 80.00 – Payable to the teacher during class
 
A 2 – Sided piece of artwork is a wonderful way to be able to use your piece throughout the year!  This method of Hooking and Punching is for the individual that wants to challenge themselves and must be prepared to concentrate and focus on their piece as it is developing in front of their eyes. 
 
We will discuss the origin of the 2 – Sided Hooking and Punching process along with jumping right into our pieces.  We will work through the wonderful piece and ensure that we discuss finishing techniques before the end of the day. 
 
All students will be working on the same pattern, Sunrise/Sea Shanties, however students will have their choice of method, either Hooked or Punched. 
 
The finished size of the project measures 13”x13”.  We will be using 100% wool, Briggs & Little, 2 ply yarn.  Kevin will be providing, for use during or purchase, a 15”x 15” Gripper Frame and Oxford Punch Needles for all students.
 
Kit Description: Each Kit will include the patterns on Monk’s Cloth and all yarns or wools needed to complete the project.  Oxford Punch Needles and Gripper Frames are NOT included in the Kits but will be available to use or purchase during the day if you so choose. 
 
Level: Intermediate – Students must have good rug hooking or rug punching knowledge and experience.
 
Students Need to Bring: Scissors, Note pad and Pen.  You will also need to bring a Traditional Rug Hook if you have chosen that method for your project.  Students may also bring their own 18” or 20” Punch Frame if they have one as well as any #10 Fine Oxford Punch Needles that they may have at home.
