This is part of a Pattern Line I recently purchased. Sandy Ducharme, who had Vermont Rug Hooking Company was a well-loved teacher, great artist and liked by all. There are 70 patterns with possibilities for more with adaptions. Sandy did not do borders, where appropriate I have added borders to her motifs.
This can be approached using Swatches & Fine Shading or in a Painterly manner or outline and fill to simplify.
